WSOTR#3 NirvanaNight
Music from the night, straight from the recorder. Mistakes and all....
Alas! No drawing competition results - wouldn't fit on a 74 minute CD...

neuschlaufen will be hitting the stage again next week - 19th March at York City Screen's Basement venue - along with four other bands.
It's going to be a hectic night - and only £3 on the door. Bargain!

Submitted by namcom on Fri, 11/03/2011 - 11:06The latest musical project had its first outing last week (20th Feb. 2011). The band is called neuschlaufen; it turns out that someone (who?) recorded the last track and put it on YouTube...
we even got a positive mention in a review too
Here's to the next one...

Submitted by namcom on Mon, 28/02/2011 - 15:37After a long (long, long) while I've started doing a bit of music again. Initially re-inspired by Robert Hayler (over at Radio Free Midwich), I'm almost up and running again.
Anyway, two tracks over at SoundCloud:
Enjoy!

Submitted by namcom on Wed, 05/01/2011 - 09:23Craig and I were chatting on new year's eve, bemoaning the fact that we haven't felt particularly musically-creative of late. So we decided that we'd do something together. I felt that a more loose, improvised thing would be good to do (in the past, my live performances have always had a certain improvised nature to them - tracks are broken down into their component parts, fed into some sort of sequencer and then 'mashed up' live).
So anyway, after two rehearsals (which ended up being pretty different in their musical output), we have our first gig.

Submitted by namcom on Sat, 07/03/2009 - 21:24... how many people who are currently bleating about their photographs being misappropriated from flickr are/were quite happy downloading music without paying for it?
Just asking.

Submitted by namcom on Sun, 20/07/2008 - 16:27Just in case you're a last.fm user, just a note to say that I've uploaded the 2003 release 'Available from Namke Communications' (originally released on Leeds' Fencing Flatworm label) up to namke communications' last.fm page - also available there is the 2003 single 'ice-9'
Let me know what you think - leave comments ;-)

Submitted by namcom on Sat, 23/02/2008 - 20:48I've just come back from my local camera club ('York photographic society') where we had an 'exhibition' - actually a couple of CD-roms of prizewinning entries to a couple of competitions. The first was the FIAP: " FIAP 23rd Colour Slide Biennial 2004". Now, Ok, this is a few years old now but I thought it might be interesting.
Wrong.
